In the app
- Open Settings.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account.
- If a partner lock is active, first enter your partner’s approval. This is a deliberate safeguard: no one should be able to delete their own account alone in a moment of weakness. The partner lock comes only with Premium. Without Premium, this step is skipped. The exception is a lock with a partner that is still running and began before Premium ended. If you can’t reach your partner, deletion by email is always possible. See below.
- Confirm that you want to delete the account.
- For security reasons, sign in once more. Deletion happens immediately after that.
By email
If you no longer have access to the device or the partner code, send an email from your account’s email address to support (at) insiegel.com with the subject Delete account. Tell us the email address you used to sign in to insiegel. We will then send a confirmation request to your account’s email address. We delete the account once you confirm from there.
What is deleted
- Your account in Firebase Authentication (email address, sign-in ID).
- Your tasks and completions, with notes and values, in your own area of Cloud Firestore, including lock settings such as location coordinates and blocked app IDs.
- The “partner lock set up” flag and the partner ID on your account in the cloud.
- Counter and log of the AI check (not yet active) on our server, if you used it. They are deleted automatically with the account.
- On the device: your tasks and completions, the account settings including partner pairing and PIN, your photo proofs, and your answers from setup. Active locks end.
Only the partner lock security log, which never leaves the device, and a cache of the cloud database stay on the device. Both disappear when you uninstall the app or use App info → Storage & cache → Clear storage in Android Settings.
Usage statistics and crash reports that were already sent to Google while the Usage statistics & crash reports switch was on (see the Privacy Policy, section 2.6) stay there until the end of their retention period (see the Privacy Policy, section 4). Deleting your account does not delete them automatically. Usage statistics expire after 14 months. On request, we delete them sooner (Art. 17 GDPR). To request this, write to us at support (at) insiegel.com.
You cancel a subscription separately in Google Play. Deleting your account does not end it.
How long it takes
If you delete in the app, deletion takes effect immediately after you confirm. We handle a request by email without undue delay, and within one month at the latest.
